we're getting a puppy! he was born on the 17th of january and we'll get to pick him up sometime in march. he is a soft haired wheaten terrier and will look like this when he grows up:

but right now, he looks like this:

{just in case you're wondering, all wheatens are born with a dark coat that lightens up when they get older.} we're very excited and nervous- since this is our first dog together.

we've decided to name him joey.

more pics to come when we pick him up! for now, we're going to pet stores, reading puppies for dummies, and britt is watching every youtube video on puppy training.

oh, and can i just say that all stories on how puppies are little terrorizers, will chew on anything and everything in sight, or how they're going to pee and poop everywhere are not wanted. why do people insist on raining on our puppy parade with bad stories?! comments like "well, you better get ready" or "a puppy? good luck!" are so annoying to me. geeez people!

let us be excited in our little puppy world.
