in no particular order, here are some thoughts/things that i’ve had/done over the past couple weeks…

. we get our new puppy next Friday…time definitely flew by!! this past weekend we went shopping at petco for food, toys, and other fun things. we started over analyzing EVERYTHING; I mean, we stared at dog food labels for ever, and just could not decide on a perfect chew toy for joey. i’m sure we’ll get over this pretty quick – at least i hope we will! we’re so excited for him to come home!

. all university sing came and went at baylor. this was my first year experiencing it from an employee’s perspective. there were a couple of surprises, both good and bad, but all in all, it was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. i had several student workers involved in sing, so it was fun to see them perform and cheer them on.

. britt is going on a 5 day trip to red river, new mexico with his brother and friends as a part of a bachelor’s party type thing. although i’m going to miss him being around, i’m really glad he’s going on this trip; it’ll be good for him. however, i have made him promise me he will not ski {he’s still not allowed b/c of the accident}.

. i took a little bathroom break in between writing this, and in the bathroom stall, taped on the door was the following verse: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." i was going to take it down, because we’re not allowed to tape things to walls or in the bathrooms here… but I left it up. because maybe someone else needs to hear that as much as I needed to hear that today… i love when little things like that happen.
